Why do people insist on calling progressivism progressive? There is really nothing progressive about the progressives of today is there? If you actually study any single area where progressives have laid a hand to there is nothing but a decades-long litany of dumbing-down and repressing of almost everything. The humanities, sociology, the arts, even science, technology, politics, religion, engineering and math are all being repressed by so-called progressive ideology!
Take for example the barbaric erasure of Shakespeare from the canvas of modern life and in today's universities in lieu of the crude penciling in of today's so-called modernized art and literature. We literally are dumbing down our entire experience when we substitute the crude and sexual productions of today's stages and the imbecilic teachings of today's lecture halls with the far better and deeply moving and beautiful works of classics like Shakespeare and Mozart!
I for one refuse to pay any money willingly toward any University or institution that substitutes the classics for such garbage.
The other huge problem with this progressive movement is that it is setting back race relations and gender relations as a part of its process. The very actions that they are doing cause more to harm the actual progress that has been made on race relations over the last 50 years and in gender relations over the last 100 years. To set persons who do not merit above those who do based on gender or sex is a formula for failure. To call meritocity a form of racism is a formula for disaster. Any person with any common sense should be able to understand this.
The solution would be to identify at the earliest stages in life the places where people begin to identify themselves as somehow being disadvantaged and empower them with whatever knowledge and with whatever psychological and emotional tools they need in order to see themselves as fully equal to anyone else. The idea is to kill victimology before it can take root. Teach them that God loves them and that you love them unconditionally. These things also should be plain and obvious to any person with common sense.
However most importantly, this process must be conducted within the framework of a well structured family home. And so here comes the rub. Because the progressives detest the family structure. Most of them want to have sex with anyone they want anytime they want and any way they want. And raising a family with some type of universal morality and a well-structured home setting is completely inconvenient for those who wish to live their lives in this way. And it's an easy sell really, because this type of lifestyle appeals to people's lowest and most unsophisticated inclinations.
Yet because of the sexual revolution of the 60s and white guilt as a result of the Great Society along with it's affirmative action and fifty years and fifty trillion dollars worth of investment, our society has reached a point that to many just living a moral and sacrificial life for the betterment of society is just unthinkable. Too bad and so sad. If this remains to be the case we will have lost everything. Everything that everyone has fought and died for throughout history as western civilization progressed, yes progressed, to create the greatest civilization in the history of the earth, will continue to spiral further downward until all humanity is lost and people are reduced to tribal warlords and barbaric customs and beliefs.
The struggle against this begins by breaking the chains that hold us back and those chains can only be broken by a universal morality that is fostered in the home by a stable family structure with the intent of raising children absent of the ills of the previous generations. This is how over many thousands of generations the human race has progressed and it is the only way that our society can continue to progress. This cannot be done in universities or by government fiat. It can only be done in households with families as individual units all directed toward creating a better society.

Those words are as true today as they were when he wrote them in that dingy jail cell. However missing from this viewpoint is the fact that we know from historical evidence that churches were actually almost exclusively held within the homes back in those days. And by the way most worship was led by the women of the household, a little know fact. Yet Dr. King had tended and as with so many people in today's society continue to tend to substitute the family unit for institutions such as churches, universities, non-profit organizations, governmental organizations and even gangs and clubs and other such social groups. This is simply not the successful formula.
My mind wanders to an old wonderful song by Graham Nash released in 1970 "Teach Your Children". Please take a minute to read these words and let them sink in.
You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good-bye.
Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,

The wisdom in these few verses are Beyond Time In My Mind. Let us reflect on this song for just a minute or two.
"You who are on the road", speaks to everybody and suggests a progress, of going somewhere.
"Must have a code that you can live by", speaks to a universal morality that we all must travel toward.
"And so become yourself", speaks to taking personal responsibility for your own growth.
"Because the past is just a goodbye", speaks to the importance of leaving the past behind and moving toward a newer and brighter future.
"Teach Your Children Well", speaks to each person's obligation to pass the torch on.
"Their fathers hell did slowly go by", speaks to the fact that each generation gets better if we determine ourselves to do it.
"And feed them on your dreams", surely speaks to the need to pass that torch with all it's beauty on to your children.
"The one they pick, the one you'll know by", speaks to choosing how to (dream) worship God and how it is done and how that affects people's past, present and future.
"Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you you will cry", speaks to the fact that it is painful to look back and to make the spiritual changes that need to be made to move forward, to progress. It also says that each generation evolves toward a more perfect relationship with God, and that we need not judge this.
"So just look at them and sigh, and know they love you", speaks to the need for patience and the idea of the universal beauty of the family unit.
"And you, of tender years", speaks to the need to be humble in contrast to today's rampant narcissism.
"Can't know the fears that your elders grew by", speaks to the need for tolerance and open-mindedness.
"And so please help them with your youth", speaks to the need for young people to remain and fulfill their duty within the family unit.
"They seek the truth before they can die". Implores people of Tender Years to understand the nature of life and wisdom in the context of old age.
"Teach your parents"... the cycle continues unless broken by some ideology or other form of evil, because surely anything that causes the destruction of individual family units is evil.
If you are a person like me you now have tears in your eyes because of the truth and the wisdom of these lyrics and that they bring into focus and clarity what we are losing in today's society. Sad. Truly sad.
But there is good news. It is never too late. As we know from Genesis 18:32 “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.” I'm pretty sure there are still at least 10 around. But we must gather together and work hard to create and restore an American Society for Cultural Virtue. Won't you join me in this endeavor?

So now having agreed to these things let me just say a final word. If you are a flawed human being like me you know that none of us has kept the moral law perfectly nor will we ever. We know from Romans 3:23 that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We also know that by His inconceivable mercy and Grace the hand of Providence has provided rescue from our depravity in the person of Jesus Christ and that those who trust in Christ become a new creation according to 2nd Corinthians 5:17.
No one is disqualified by past moral failures or current moral struggles, from running the race toward goodness, truth, and beauty or from encouraging others to join that race.
If not you or I then who will help our society climb back from the depths of depravity which have brought on nothing but discord and ugliness into our society today?
